Founded in 1989 by David L. Henderson, Heartfelt Savings was born from a desire to serve people first. Long before cause marketing became common, David believed local businesses could become powerful partners in strengthening their communities. Every discount offered, every partnership formed, and every dollar saved could become something greater than a transaction—it could become an investment in people.

That mission was tested through David's own journey. Facing Graves' disease and heart failure, he encountered seasons of uncertainty, but his faith, perseverance, and unwavering compassion for others never wavered. Today, healthier and stronger than ever, David continues leading Heartfelt Savings with the same purpose that started it all: serving people, building relationships, and creating opportunities that leave communities better than they were found.
CHAPTER TWO

As relationships formed across Africa, Heartfelt Savings discovered that the same philosophy of community partnership could transform lives thousands of miles away.
Today, Heartfelt Savings supports projects throughout Zambia and Malawi, partnering with local leaders to create lasting opportunities for children and families.

Together, we've helped construct schools, support feeding initiatives, improve educational opportunities, invest in orphan care, and strengthen communities through sustainable partnerships—not temporary solutions.
​
One of those dreams became reality with the completion of the Arthur J. Henderson Education Center, providing children with a safe place to learn, grow, and dream about their futures.

Because we believe where a child is born should never determine the size of their dreams.

And our story in Africa is only just beginning.
